This week, I got the chance to meet/catch up with a plethora of interns! One intern that I met and spoke with for the first time was Peter. Peter had been working at a different laboratory on base and his primary project involved reducing the overhead required for complex simulations. An example he used primarily was fluid dynamics simulations; with his method, drastically reduced CPU usage and time to complete the dynamic simulation. Keep in mind, he's in his sophomore year!  This week, I got the chance to meet/catch up with a plethora of interns! One intern that I met and spoke with for the first time was Peter.  At DASL, it feels like there is always something to do. It feels relaxed, but at the same time, we have this rush of "we need to get this project done ASAP because we don't have a lot of time!". At RSL, it feels completely the opposite. Sometimes, we have days where we don't have anything critical to do, so the pace just comes to a complete stop. I can see why people would like this nice relaxed pace, but it sometimes can be frustrating, as I want to be at the same pace as we are at DASL.   At DASL, it feels like there is always something to do.  I think a lesson that I, and many forget occasionally, is the fact that time passes by SO fast (especially when we're having fun). This internship was such a phenomenal one, and I am overjoyed that I got a chance to work in a government position. Additionally, I am so glad I got to work on such a wonderful project with an even more wonderful team of mentors.  I think a lesson that I, and many forget occasionally, is the fact that time passes by SO fast (especially when we're having fun).  This week, since we worked on our final presentations, not much work was done towards our technical project. This week, since we worked on our final presentations, not much work was done towards our technical project.
