Lectures and Workshops will be held at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV). As the map above shows, UNLV is conveniently close to both the LAS Airport, CES venue and reserved lodging.

When paying registration, accepted students that request lodging, will be hosted at the Extended Stay America. This hotel is a 5-min walk to the Winter School's lectures and workshops. Registration rate will cover the student's stay at this hotel.

Hotels elsewhere will demand one to consider availability, transportation and rates. Due to CES, hotel room demand peaks ($200-$400 per night) with long taxi lines and room check-in times. As such, students are highly discouraged from seeking lodging elsewhere. If one finds better/convenient/affordable lodging for the Winter School than the above, we'd love to know about it!

Flying:McCarren International Airport (LAS) is about 2-miles from UNLV. CES results in long taxi lines and peak Uber/Lyft and car rental demand. Since the Winter School begins before CES, one should have little difficulty arriving. We discourage car rental; CES traffic/parking on The Strip is highly congested. Once at the Winter School, lecture/workshop/lodging are all within a 5-min walk from each other. Public buses, ride-share and shuttles will be arranged for the CES Field Trip.

Driving/Buses:Major cities within driving distance of Las Vegas include: Los Angeles (5-hours); San Francisco (9-hours); Phoenix (4-hours); and Salt Lake City (3-hours). As such, commercial buses and driving are affordable options. Free parking options at the Winter School venue will be available.
