Pneumatic Lego Stewart Platform


Design Concept:


Construction:

Step 1: Pneumatic Cylinders
Place an axle 5 through the base of a pneumatic cylinder and secure it with a smooth 1/2 bush on each side. Place two notched axle 2's in opposite ends of a 180 degree angle connector. Use the axle slots on two axle/pin/axle cross blocks to secure the cylinder and angle connector to each other as shown.

Step 2: Platform Foundation
Use the technic beams, pins with friction [black pins], long pins with friction [blue pins], axle 4's, and pin/axle connectors to build the foundation for the platform. This is the piece that the six pistons will be mounted to, and it will sit underneath the actual platform. The construction has been broken down into four substeps shown in the pictures below.
